Mayor Lori Lightfoot says investigation into attack on alderman outside River North bar is appropriate: ‘We have an obligation to investigate it’

Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Tuesday said she called for an investigation into the attack against an alderman outside a downtown Chicago bar in part because he’s an elected official and she wants to make sure he wasn’t targeted.
