Illinois sets a new high for COVID-19 vaccinations, but case count tops 4,000 for first time since late January

A new daily high for coronavirus vaccinations was set in Illinois on Thursday but the daily COVID-19 case count also was remarkable, crossing the 4,000 mark for the first time since late January while hospitalizations also continued to be high.
